Are you a fashionable female with a penchant for football? Well good luck trying not to look like one of the boys on game day! For the gal who likes to show her team spirit without wearing a linebacker’s official jersey there aren’t a lot of stylish options on the market. When I saw this NFL ad in last month’s Vogue, I was instantly inspired…

Why not mix it up a bit? There’s no need to don your boyfriend’s jeans and sneakers just because you like to play armchair quarterback on the weekends. Capitalize on your femininity and win the trophy for best looking lady at the tailgate party! Take a couple official team pieces, like a fitted tee or hoodie and a ball cap, throw some silk drawstring pants and high heels into the formation, layer on a few pieces of bling-bling, and you’ve got a winning play!

I hired a new assistant. She’s six, so she works for snacks and candy. It’s working out well. She’s a wizard with the Nikon…

Wow! What a week! The 6th Annual Tampa Bay Fashion Week was a whirlwind of stylish receptions, designer and model parties, vendor and exhibitor boutiques, a blogger conference and fashion shows… the proceeds from which will benefit Shoes for the Cure. There were so many opportunities to learn about the local fashion scene as well as brush up on everything from the history of fashion to kid couture to what’s hot in bridal wear… literally something for everyone.
As always, my favorite part of any fashion week are the runway shows. Tampa Bay Fashion Week’s presentation of the 2014 Spring/Summer Collections at the Hilton Tampa Downtown did not disappoint! I went as a guest of my friend Emily from Deocapac Designs, one of the sponsors of the event. Though we had great seats (there wasn’t a bad seat in the house), I quickly positioned myself on the front lines, at the very end of the runway, a few feet from the models, camera in-hand. I just couldn’t help myself. Here are some of my favorite looks from the show…

There’s something so intriguing about the unexpected combination of lady-like refinement and rough-and-tumble naughtiness! I love pairing a soft, feminine gown or dress with something dark and tough like a leather biker jacket. It says, “Would you care for some tea… or perhaps a knuckle sandwich?”
On a recent visit to Neiman Marcus at International Plaza, I had the pleasure of styling my own ‘Biker Chic’ vignette with the help of models Sue and Erika. I had a blast scoping the floor and pulling looks… landing on my two favorite ‘ladies with attitude’ ensembles. I totally want to go wherever these gals are going…
The shoppable ‘Biker Chic’ look below is a great way to experiment with the juxtaposition of a black leather jacket and a soft, flowy chiffon gown. Let’s say you have a bride’s maid dress and you’re not sure why you’ve kept it… NOW is why! Add a girly statement necklace and drape the biker jacket over your shoulders for a more delicate look…

My name is Michelle, and I am a fashionholic. I recently went to Rehab…

… a trendy designer consignor boutique that opened it’s newest location in Downtown St. Pete this past weekend. Rehab Exchange buys, sells & trades modern & vintage designer apparel, shoes, handbags & accessories… with an edge!
I pulled a few dresses from the ubercool suspended racks to show one of my clients…
A little pre-fashion show action…

Rehab’s Grand Opening Fashion Show gave a glimpse into their naughty side, featuring a few overexposed avant-garde looks like assless chaps and chain bralettes. The runway portion of the event was held two doors down from the boutique in an outdoor courtyard. Apart from the drizzling rain, the show was fun and energized. Rehab’s own Lauren Hubbard moderated onstage in a gorgeous gold leather cocktail dress while the beautiful amateur models (friends of Rehab) rocked it out and looked like they were having a blast! They danced down the runway with so much energy my camera had a hard time keeping up. I picked a few of my favorite dresses for this PG-rated post…
Has anyone ever told you that you need to go to Rehab? Well trust me, you do!
My friend Denise and I recently paid a visit to the home of Angier Miller where she and fellow Worth New York rep Julie Sargent are showing the latest Summer 2013 collection from this classic and feminine designer label. The show is only going on for a couple more days so be sure to contact Angier at email@example.com to schedule your appointment. These fabulous dresses and separates are perfect for work or play and deliver immediately! It’s totally Worth a visit!

Inspired by military fatigues, the camouflage print has been a huge trend this season. It’s not uncommon to see a camo print jacket worn over black or white tees with jeans and flats. I’ve also seen a lot of camo print pants paired with tees and blazers. The 2013 spring season has offered more feminine injections to this classic trend with the addition of high heels and bold colors. I love the idea of mixing dressy and casual, so I found this combination of camo and coral to be quite refreshing!

The Spring 2013 runway shows provided plenty of androgyny in the form of power suits and pant suits. Designers like Mary Katrantzou, Yves Saint Laurent & Balmain (among others) kept it feminine with form-fitted craftsmanship and soft fabrics in matching prints. The skinny pant was a key component for achieving a powerful, yet lady-like look. For a casual daytime suit, I like the look of seersucker. Here’s my take on a classic Spring ensemble…

Sheer, lightweight fabrics graced the runways of Roberto Cavalli, Akris, Donna Karan, Tom Ford, Rick Owens, and many other talented designers. And what better way to represent the Spring season than to show some skin? But if being scantily clad is not your style, try pairing a semi-sheer dress with a jacket and you’ll still turn heads…
