It’s that time of year again… my favorite season is finally here! The temperatures are dropping ever so slightly, the stores are stocking up on new fall fashions, my event calendar is getting a little more active… it’s Fall Fashion time people!
I’ve been to two trunk shows in the past few days and I’m planning on attending several more in the coming weeks… not to mention the absolute bombardment of fashion shows coming up in September (Stay tuned for more about that). Anywho, let me share with you the pictures from my recent visit to the WORTH NEW YORK Fall 2014 Trunk Show that was held at my friend Angier Miller’s home. My gal pal Denise Schultz and I had the best time shopping and modeling this fabulous collection. The pieces will only be there for a limited time, but Angier did let me know that she’s happy to give private and virtual showings to any interested buyers.
Rather than bore you with lots of words about how lovely the pieces look and how wonderfully they fit and how well-constructed they are and about how the quality and craftsmanship is superior to most, why don’t I just show you the pictures? Yes?
If you love what you see and you’d like to schedule some time with WORTH New York Agency Owner Angier Miller to shop the Fall 2014 collection email her at firstname.lastname@example.org. The pieces will be in Tampa, Florida until August 20th, but she can hook you up with more information about how to get the best looks for Fall!
P.S.- The gorgeous make-up for this shoot was provided by Arbonne. “What’s Arbonne?” you say… well, I’m so glad you asked. It’s no secret! I’ve been using the made-from-nature line for years and my skin has never looked better. If you’re into pure, safe, and beneficial skincare email me at michelle@runwaytranslator and I’ll be happy to tell you more about how you can get your hands on some free samples 🙂
I’m all about the jumpsuits lately! I love the seemingly effortless combination of comfort and sophistication, top and bottom, the easy-breezy two-for-one fabulousness of it all! Top it off with a structured tuxedo jacket… “aaaaand scene!”

Throughout my long and spirited love affair with fashion there have always been two criteria by which I determine whether or not my relationship with any particular item will last; comfort and ‘wow factor’. Enter this silk jumper and these amazing blue heels…
With my impending high school reunion on the horizon, I knew I needed to seek professional help for my fashion fix. But where could I go? Who could I trust? I mean, I was in deep! I needed everything… head to toe, the full treatment! The choice was obvious… Rehab!
I chose a Karina Grimaldi single-shoulder black silk jumpsuit. Simple and sophisticated. I kept the accessories to a minimum, adding a vintage gold chain belt, statement ring and drop earrings to keep the look polished and classic. The Guess patent leather strappy sandals with gold rings were a perfect compliment to the ensemble, and are from my closet. My favorite bag lately, the black reptile embossed leather clutch, was a gift from the FWTB Blogger Brilliance Conference last month.

I hired a new assistant. She’s six, so she works for snacks and candy. It’s working out well. She’s a wizard with the Nikon…
Here are some samples of her work behind the lens…

I recently attended Handbags & Happy Hour, a silent auction of high-end handbags to benefit Make-A-Wish. Held at the beautiful and stately Centre Club in Tampa, this was an affair to remember. With enticing offerings of signature cocktails, sushi & sweets upon entry, I knew I had walked right into heaven. Beyond the bar was the golden treasure… infinite tables filled with designer handbags! I could hear the angels sing as I slowly waltzed in… sashayed really, I was excited! Here’s what: the silent auction was all negotiated via text messages on the bidder’s smart phone! What? That was crazy cool… unless you weren’t text savvy or were without cell. In which case, partnerships were formed. Most of the charitable patrons were dressed in casual cocktail attire and some were coming from work. I saw a lot of bold colors and spring prints, mostly knee-length dresses… I was the one in the black jumper!
The handbags ran the gamut. There was literally something for every style profile in the room! The event ultimately raised $50,000 for The Suncoast Region of Make-A-Wish, which grants fantastical wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses.
I am intrigued by the jumpsuit trend this season. I like the simplicity of the all-in-one factor, but I worry about finding the right design so as not to look like an auto mechanic or a baby in a onesie… maybe that’s just me. The above pic of Tresean Wong in Marc Jacobs at Coachella immediately drew me in and convinced me to take the plunge. The all-over print is gorgeous and I love how she dressed it down with Converse… she looks comfy and stylish! I found several versions (pictured below) and am in the throws of deciding which one to order for myself. If you have any suggestions, feel free to comment…
