Tampa Bay Fashion Week 2016 Runway Shows
All Access Neiman’s Hosted By Michelle Bremer
I recently had the pleasure of hosting a Spring 2015 Fashion Trend Event at Neiman Marcus. For a captive audience of budget conscious fashionistas I presented the season’s hottest offerings from the American luxury retailer.
With the assistance of models Sonya and Melissa I showed my own translations of the runway’s predominant Spring trends, brought down to earth and presented in a real-life way; fashion made easy for the everyday gals. I styled four primary trend categories in a variety of ways, showing how one could take the trend quite literally or simply incorporate select elements from each trend to achieve the look and remain current.

On The White Side

3.1 Phillip Lim Spring 2015… Details, Details!
So my usual method of operations for conducting a translation blog post is that I view the runway shows, pick a few looks from my favorites, and search the internet for pieces that are similar but typically more affordable than the originals. Well that process was determined to be useless when it came to the pieces that Phillip Lim sent down the runway for Spring 2015. I found them to be unique in their construction, with rope piping details and asymmetrical patterns. They seem comfortable and organic. I had a hard time narrowing down my favorites and I could picture myself wearing any of the pieces in the collection.
When I attempted to find similar pieces online I was met with disappointment. I exhausted all of my usual resources… and nothing! The construction of each piece in this collection is so unusual, but so flattering to the female form. WHY have we not seen this before? Where has this been all my life? Will the collection be successful on the commercial front? I hope so. I wish I could have found comparable pieces online, but alas I have failed. I will not rest until I find something similar that I can actually afford. For now, I will admit defeat and leave you with these pics of my favorite looks from the 3.1 Phillip Lim Spring 2015 Runway Show…
