The ‘Designer Mini-Bios’ Project continues!  I’m actually having fun learning new things about the fashion geniuses behind some of my favorite collections from New York Fashion Week’s Fall 2014 runway shows.  Check out these three amazing brands; Cynthia Rowley, Creatures of Comfort by Jade Lai, and Costello Tagliapietra by Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra…

Designer Mini-Bios… It Begins!!!

So, I had this crazy idea last week during New York Fashion Week…  “I’m going to view every single collection, pick my top three looks, and research each designer’s background.”  Because why not?  Well, first of all, there are hundreds of collections!  Anyway, I figured no one in their right mind has time to view every look from the designer runway shows, and even if they did, they probably don’t know much, if anything, about the talented designers themselves… so, here I go!  Now, not only am I currently obsessed with fashion runway shows, but I am also driven to educate the stylish masses!

Whit Fall 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

Whitney Pozgay

While viewing the New York Fashion Week collections for fall 2014 I came across yet another brilliant American designer whom I was eager to learn more about.  Whitney Pozgay is officially on my radar!    After attending Parsons and the Fashion Institute of Technology this Arizona native worked with fashion greats like Kate Spade and Steven Alan.  With the help of several partners Pozgay launched her own label, aptly named Whit, during the fall 2010 season.  Her aesthetic speaks to me… it’s urban yet sophisticated, casual yet effortlessly cool, feminine yet fun!

Take a look at the entire Whit Fall 2014 RTW Collection and let me know what you think…

Veronica Beard Fall 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection

New York Fashion Week is underway and it didn’t take long for me to land on a collection that has left me, well… totally obsessed.  Since launching the brand in 2010 sisters-in-law Veronica Miele Beard and Veronica Swanson Beard (I know, right) have consistently delivered “The Uniform” for women who do it all.  They’ve mastered the art of infusing classic styles with an undeniable edge.  Every look in Veronica Beard’s Fall 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection needs to live in my wardrobe…
